Looking to add a summer vibe to whatever you are working on? This summer font collection will likely do the trick. Whether you’re working on that South Beach inspired tee or busting a set of social posts for the juice bar client of yours, type design is without a doubt one of the key elements of your project. We’ve scanned through Creative Market’s font collection to bring you the best fonts on the platform. We hope you’ll enjoy those as much as we do!
Summer Font #1: Glamour Absolute Modern
This font has the right amount of playfulness and elegance. Although it has a lot of curves, it is a very structured typeface thanks to its serifs. It’s best used as a headline font and on numbers. If you do end up using this font, make sure to have your glyphs window open as you work. You’ll discover lots of great letter alternates and combos. Below are some examples of this font in action.
#2: California Palms Fonts & Graphics
This one is actually a combo of a script font and a textured hand-drawn serif font, and comes bundled with a set of hand-drawn doodles that pair nicely with the fonts in question. As you can tell by the example layouts exhibited on the font’s page, it’s a good idea to combine the provided script and serifs in your layouts, but definitely not a must. One can live well without the other.
#3: Summer Loving Font Collection
Nothing says summer more than brushed type! Cliché… we know. While the brush font trend seems to have faded away, we really enjoy the juxtaposition of the brush font on the condensed sans serif proposed by this font collection. This collection works well for quotes, bold and short statements, and anything sweet and sugary in our opinion. And if we could give any advice on this “Summer Loving Font Collection”: Don’t overuse the brush typeface. Keep it to a maximum of three or four words. Check out this font collection in action:
#4: Brice Font Family
We can’t get enough of how much fun can be had with this family of playful fonts. Bold, irreverent, warm and Groovy Baby! This family of fonts look like it came straight out of the Austin Powers movie. With about 30 fonts to play with, this collection can be the focus of an entire brand identity. Have fun with it!
Summer Font #5: Balgin
Yet another groovy font that brings that 70’s summer vibe back to mainstream. This family of fonts comes with over 80 fonts to play with and is now offered at a 60% discount. It seems like this groovy retro feel has made its way back into designers hands. We’ve seen that style in use by some of the greatest design firms out there: Pentagram and &Walsch have both used these 70’s typefaces on recent projects.
